Being the Hands and Feet of Jesus

By September 14, 2016 No Comments
My family is participating in the Grace Like Rain Ministry because we believe that as followers of Christ, we are called to be the hand and feet of Jesus. We moved to Argyle a little over a year ago, and I had volunteered at different places, but this ministry grabbed my heart from the moment I heard about it.
I am serving as the Family Case Manager for GLR. I have a masters in Counseling and I love helping others find hope and restoration for the broken areas of their lives.  I am so thankful for this opportunity to serve families in our own & surrounding communities and I know God has great plans for this ministry.
I am learning everything from how to successfully navigate every DMV office in Denton County to how to manage 6 littles (age 6 and under) at one time.  I’m learning that when I buy 3 gallons of milk for my family each week, that there is always someone else in need, and to be thankful for the milk I am able to buy. When I see others loving on the families that I am serving, I am learning that there is good in the world and that acts of kindness are immeasurable in bringing hope and joy to someone else’s life.
“Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1
My hope for this ministry is to see families restored, hearts made well, and lives forever changed by the hope & love of Jesus.
